Dear Sir/Madam, The only outcomes that the Biodiversity Conservation and related Bills proposed by the NSW government will achieve are to: - cause more extinctions of precious native plants and wildlife; - exacerbate climate change impacts due to uncontrolled land clearing; - reduce the capacity of our soils and water to produce healthy food; - enable greedy property developers and big business to clear land with minimal oversight. Only a Government that doesn't care about the future of its citizens or doesn't understand the benefits that native vegetation provides our communities would enact such dangerous laws that encourage such terrible outcomes. I call on the government to confront the radical sections of the National Party that want to trash the environment and stop these incredibly poorly thought out laws. The government needs to listen to the people and withdraw the Draft Biodiversity Conservation Act and Local Land Services Amendment Act, and commit to laws which will genuinely improve outcomes for nature. Please count this as my submission to the proposed biodiversity conservation reform package. I give permission for this submission to be made public. Yours Sincerely, Greg Banks 2446
