Strong and clearly defined laws that protect nature are important to me because as they protect our state's 1001 threatened species of plants and animals, our reliable water supplies and to prevent against erosion and salinity due to land clearing without strict laws and guidelines.
I am particularly concerned about the following elements:- Farmers and Miners (in this proposed new BDBill 2016) can now pay into an offset fund rather than set land aside to compensate/offset on their property eg. keeping and protecting existing trees and plants on their property providing protection for wildlife established on their properties. This can allow for irreversible damage
